With increasing concern about the pressure we are putting on our environment and growing awareness of the need to live as sustainably as we can, it is time to consider the wisdom and longevity of using herbs grown out of sight thousands of miles away in India and other far flung corners of the earth and look into using herbs growing closer to home.

Over the course of four 2-day workshops, Anne will introduce you to local herbs through the seasons and look at the relationship between Western and Ayurvedic classifications of these herbs. You will have an opportunity in each workshop to make different preparations and gain the practical tools to use these herbs as medicines.

New course for 2022!

The course will be divided into workshops according to the seasons. The objective of the workshops is to enable you to identify local herbs from the garden and the hedgerow, to understand their chemistry and attributes, and to acquire the knowledge and confidence to use Western herbs in your home or practice. You will also develop a deeper connection with the herbal world through the seasons and add another dimension to your practice through the direct experience of the herbs you use.

Course dates:

Tuesday 17th May & Wednesday 18th May 2022

Tuesday 28th June & Wednesday 29th June 2022

Tuesday 13th September & Wednesday 14th September 2022

Tuesday 18th October & Wednesday 19th October 2022
