Great news! Following student feedback we have made all the online parts of our courses fully accessible from mobile devices (phones, tablets, etc) - you can now take your course with you wherever you go!

This reel shows the mobile layout of the Ayurvedic Apprenticeship Foundation Course, a fantastic introduction to Ayurveda and the first of two Ayurvedic Apprenticeships that we offer at Artemis House.

The Foundation course starts in February 2025 with Module One, and students have access to a new module each month through until September, plus four two-day workshops here at Artemis House in April, June, September and October.

Why not make 2025 the year you dive into the wonderful world of Ayurveda!

Carrying on from yesterday’s post about seasonal

Carrying on from yesterday’s post about seasonal change - my workshops and courses are now finished for the year and I can now dry my herbs (and my washing!) in front of the AGA while I’m editing and updating next years courses.

I’m all set with my spiced chai and my laptop for a good day’s work!

Two videos of the same place in the garden, taken at two very different times of year. The first was taken in May, late spring, and the second was taken today, in November at the end of autumn.

It’s always tempting to show the garden in the summer with the grass just cut, everything recently tidied and the herbs in full bloom. Beautiful as that is, that’s only part of the story. Right now you could think that the garden is looking a little messy and tired, but look closer and you can see an abundance of seeds and rose hips, more than enough for the wild birds that you can hear in the back ground, with some to spare for new plants next year. The brown and decaying leaves are from plants that have drawn their resources back into themselves ready for the winter, waiting for warmer ground in the spring when they will reappear. What we can see in these plants is their adaptations to the seasons - they aren’t continuing as if it was summer all year long.

We, as part of nature, also go through seasonal transitions and in Ayurveda this is addressed through seasonal variations called rtucharya. Continues below….
