Deepening Your Ayurvedic Knowledge and Practice – A Natural Progression from the Ayurvedic Apprenticeship Foundation Year

The Ayurvedic Apprenticeship: Further Studies is designed for those who have already completed Anne’s Foundation Year, or who have a solid grounding in the core principles of Ayurveda.

This is your opportunity to deepen your understanding, broaden your practical knowledge and explore how the profound teachings of Ayurveda can continue to support your own healing journey and that of others.

Combining monthly online lessons for self-paced study with three in-person workshops at Artemis House, this blended course guides you further into the heart of Ayurvedic wisdom and its relevance to modern, everyday life.

The online lessons and workshops are designed to be studied in sequence, the first written material is available in February 2026 and new material will be made available to students each month as they go through the course. The lessons can be studied at your own pace, whenever it suits you and fits in with your life, but ideally students will have completed the online work before each workshop to allow the group to progress together.

The workshops are held at Anne’s clinic in the Cotswolds, where she has a beautiful herb garden with over 150 medicinal plants, laid out in a spiral representing a journey through a woman’s life, expressed through herbs.

Course Aims:
By the end of the course you will

• Have deepened your knowledge of the inspiring concepts of Ayurveda and how to relate these to an understanding of yourselves and others
• Understand more about the seven tissues / dhatus of the body, how they relate to the Western concept of the major systems of the body (digestive, respiratory, nervous, cardio-vascular, urinary, endocrine, reproductive, musculoskeletal & skin) and how to promote their health
• Have increased your knowledge of both local herbs which surround us, as well as those used traditionally within the Ayurvedic tradition, understand these herbs’ pranic qualities and how they may be used from both Western and Eastern perspectives for a range of different health issues.
• Have established personal lifestyle habits to improve your own health

Who is this for?
This course is aimed at students who have completed Anne’s Foundation Year Apprenticeship.

Notes:

• The workshops include a delicious vegetarian lunch based on seasonal ingredients. Please let us know at least one week before the event if you have any dietary requirements.
• Please note that this class will be run in person only, there will be no Zoom alternative.
• Full payment is required at the time of booking. If you are paying by invoice please note that your place on the course will not be reserved until full payment has been made.
• Our courses are held on specific dates, usually only once a year and involve considerable organisation prior to your visit. We cannot offer refunds in the event of cancellations, including for reasons such as bad weather, transport delays or cancellations, other commitments or illness.
• If you no longer can or want to attend your event, you will be issued with a credit note that can be used for part or full payment for another course taking place within the next 12 months, and you may have to pay a difference in price.
