🗓 February – September 2026 | 📍 Artemis House | 💻 Blended Online + In-Person

How to Be a Home Herbalist is a comprehensive and inspiring introduction to herbal medicine, carefully designed to guide you on a transformative journey with plants. This blended course brings together decades of herbal wisdom, combining online text-based learning with in-person practical workshops at the Artemis House clinic and herb garden in the Cotswolds.

Whether you are completely new to herbal medicine or looking to deepen your existing knowledge, this course will empower you with the confidence, skills and understanding to use herbs safely and effectively at home.

The course consists of a series of online lessons, which I have designed to give you comprehensive theoretical knowledge of over 70 herbs, the systems of the body and treatment of common ailments, coupled with eight days of practical workshops at my clinic in the Cotswolds. Here I will introduce you personally to the herbs we are studying, teach you how to identify and sustainably collect them and provide you with a grounding in the skills of herbal preparations and medicine making so that you will be able use these herbs with confidence in your everyday life.

As your guide on this journey, I will delight in introducing you to the healing power of plants, bringing the knowledge and experience that I have gleaned from over four decades of practice as a medical herbalist and Ayurvedic practitioner. I have taken care to break this journey of learning and exploration down into simple lessons and hope that it will enable you to gain deeper insights into the nature of what it is to be human and how to live in harmony with the natural world around you, so that you can maximise your health and wellbeing.
