Ever since I began teaching How to Be a Home Herbalist, I have been asked for a further year of study and I’m excited to share that I am now doing an additional course, The Practical Home Herbalist! This is a practical hands-on course and we will be spending the year exploring the wonderful and fascinating world of herbal medicine. I hope you can come and join me!

We’ll be diving into each system of the body, exploring how to support and treat these systems using herbs, diet, lifestyle changes and using real-life case studies to bring the learning to life.

Together, we’ll look at both preventative strategies and natural treatments for common ailments – combining practical herbal knowledge with holistic approaches to health and healing. We will spend lots of time in the herb garden here at Artemis House, picking herbs and making them into a variety of different preparations – and we’ll have lots of fun along the way!

Since several students on this course have already studied with me, anybody joining for the first time might like to have access to the extensive catalogue of online modules and monographs from How to be a Home Herbalist. Notes:

• The workshops include a delicious vegetarian lunch based on seasonal ingredients. Please let us know at least two weeks before the event if you have any dietary requirements.
• Please note that this class will be run in person only, there will be no Zoom alternative.
• Our courses are held on specific dates, usually only once a year and involve considerable organisation prior to your visit. We cannot offer refunds or alternative dates in the event of cancellations, for reasons including bad weather, transport delays/cancellations, other commitments or illness.
